EASO have held two large media events since starting their activity in 2006.
The first was conducted in Damascus in May of 2008 during the EASO course on lung and mesothelioma. A distinguished EASO faculty attended the meeting in the presence of more than 30 journalists/reporters representing different organizations.
The second was conducted in Cairo in November 2008 during the EASO masterclass. This event featured an even larger number of attendees and was very well perceived. The theme of the meeting was how to stem the tide of suffering and death from cancer in the Arab World.
